We only grow species and fosteriana tulips, since others fail if left in the ground in our wet conditions. This year for the first time I saw solitary bees pollinating in a fairly organized fashion, the Tulipa dasystemon (tarda) flowers, collecting the bright yeallow pollen. Other bees showed non interest. 12/04/11
