Daphne laureola philippi and Hebrew Character Moth also 2 months ahead of normal appearance time 04/01/12
Snowdrops and Hellebores aplenty from the beginning of the month. These are Galanthus atkinsii 14/01/12
In a month with mainly leaden skies and exceptionally mild, the last week saw a plunge in temperatures, and a Turner-esque sunrise for the last day of the month 31/01/12

I especially like the sunset picture. Our younger daughter and I stayed in northern Wales for a few days not too many years ago and loved it. So beautiful!
