The designs for our 100% silk scarves are created by us from photographs of flowers, plants and insects which we take in and around our garden. They are digitally printed onto the silk fabric in Macclesfield, the historic home of quality silk printing in the UK and use the firm that you’ll find produces many of the scarves sold in Liberty of London. They’re then made up by us, (well, what I mean by us, is Fiona!), here in Wales. We feel it’s important that the scarves remain a British designed and manufactured product.

The scarves are made from a very high quality (84 gsm) crepe satin silk. These are single thickness measuring approximately 148 cms by 34cms. This gorgeous fabric drapes beautifully, and has a lovely sheen which gives the designs a real vibrancy. A great length for tying, wrapping or just draping around the neck.

We now have the crepe satin silk scarves available to purchase through our on-line shop at Etsy. Etsy is an e-commerce host site specialising in selling arts and crafts from small-scale designers and makers. It was first established in the States but (rather like Ebay) has expanded and now has an international range of contributors. It allows us to showcase and sell our scarves internationally, simply and quickly, with secure payments on-line. Although prices are shown in dollars on the Etsy site, the Sterling equivalent is also given, so please don’t be put off. Please also note that all our scarves are designed and made here in Wales and are shipped from the UK, not the States, and the price shown includes postage and packing.
